Shoreline Bird Boat Excursion - Lake James State Park
Join Park Ranger Earl Weaver for an interpretive boat tour on the shore birds that can be seen on Lake James. This program is limited by space and you MUST be registered to participate! 7th Annual Catawba RiverFest - Lake James State Park
FREE ADMISSION For 2010, Lake James State Park has agreed to partner with the Catawba Valley Heritage Alliance and host the Catawba Riverfest. Catawba RiverFest is an annual celebration sponsored by the CVHA and now the NC State Park system, along with a variety of local governmental and non-governmental organizations. The focus of the festival is to provide everyone with an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the Catawba River as well as providing an opportunity for local organizations to highlight issues impacting the river. The festival features music from local artists, food, booths from local organizations, and a water derby. Starts at: 10:00 A.M. Meet at: New Section at Paddy's Creek
