| 7th Annual Catawba RiverFest - Lake James State Park FREE ADMISSION For 2010, Lake James State Park has agreed to partner with the Catawba Valley Heritage Alliance and host the Catawba Riverfest. Catawba RiverFest is an annual celebration sponsored by the CVHA and now the NC State Park system, along with a variety of local governmental and non-governmental organizations. The focus of the festival is to provide everyone with an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the Catawba River as well as providing an opportunity for local organizations to highlight issues impacting the river.
