Join Thornwell Books and The History Museum of Burke County on Thursday, October 15 at 5:30 p.m. for an evening of local history!

Curious about how Morganton and Burke County got their names? Want to learn more about the Revolutionary War’s Southern Campaign and the history right here in our own backyard?

We’ll gather at Thornwell Books to socialize, meet Museum Curator Corwin Keys, and hear from local historian Bill Brown, followed by a guided tour of the museum with docent Margaret Hampson.

The event is free, but please RSVP with a head count by emailing jean@thornwellbooks.
