Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail
The Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail commemorates the patriot unification, march and battles leading up to the Battle of Kings Mountain. Portions of the trail can be visited in any season. It includes sections of walk-able pathway, a Commemorative Motor Route, affiliated historic sites and museums, and wayside exhibits.

Stoney Place Cafe
A new eatery in Burke County offers a variety of made from scratch goods to the local community. The cafe co-owners, Felicia Austin and Lorrie Hoglen, opened their doors to the public offering a limited menu and a variety of outdoor seating options for the public. The cafe will be open Tuesdays through Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each week. A variety of specials including salads, sandwiches, pastries and more will be offered.
Quaker Meadows Cemetery
The cemetery is the earliest identified site associated with white settlement in western North Carolina. The cemetery is locked and gated, but access can be obtained from the Historic Burke Foundation located inside the historic Burke County courthouse in downtown Morganton.
